Elaina and Chris ~ An Elegant Cape Cod Wedding at the Wequassett in Harwich, MA

Elaina and Chris met the new old-fashioned way (online!) and have been together ever since. This hardworking and ambitious couple got engaged in 2020 and finally tied the knot this past Spring.

The couple chose Cape Cod for their wedding because both love the Cape and were also engaged there! It has always felt like a mini destination and escape for them. And Elaina, being a wedding planner herself, knew the Wequassett for its top notch service and hospitality and was eager to gather family and friends at a place where she knew they could all relax and be in good hands.

We started our day with the bride and groom at their First Look. Chris was looking handsome in his blue suit with Elaina was looking gorgeous in her stunning custom wedding gown featuring a fitted bodice, form sitting skirt and flowing train. Elaina also held her lovely bouquet of ivory, dusty rose and pale pink, colors that later graced the tables at the reception. They then enjoyed a photo session with family and friends and also Stella, their beloved pup!

Next was onto the ceremony overlooking the water. This intimate wedding was true family affair. With just over 40 guests, Elaina’s cousin was the officiant, brother Louis did a lovely reading, nephews Conor and Mason were ring bearers and not to be forgotten, Stella, got to be there for the ceremony and walked back down the aisle with mom and dad after they became husband and wife!

Guests then enjoyed cocktail hour and were soon joined by the bride and groom after they took some fun photos together, with Stella, on the docks. Reception hall tables were lush with more pink and ivory floral arrangements as well as seagrass table numbers and pale blue linens. Family and friends gathered for heartfelt toasts and a wonderful meal at the long cozy tables then went over to the dance floor for Elaina and Chris’ first dance. Soon that dance floor was open and the band, Vincent King Live, was quick to get feet moving!

Elaina and Chris, thank you so, so much for having us at your wedding! It meant a lot for you to think of us for your big day. Wishing you all the best and please give Stella some pets for us!
