Ginger and José met during their first year of medical school in pathology class. When they were both assigned, accidentally, to the same microscope. That day, they didn’t initially get along! A year later though, Ginger became room mates with a good friend of José which allowed them to get to know each other better. The rest, as they say, is history.
The bride and groom we excited for a romantic and fun day and looking forward to a wedding that celebrated both of their cultures. With José coming from Columbia and Gingers family coming from China, the couple, with traditions coming from two very different parts of the world, found a connection with their shared values including the importance of family and a love of food! They we excited to share these loves and love for each other with their family and friends.
We started out day with the couple at their ceremony on the green lawn of the Bradley Estate. Both Ginger and José agreed that some of their favorite moments of the day came during the ceremony. With the beautiful written ceremony and their lovely personal vows being some of the highlights. The ceremony location was decorated with elegant floral designs including pink, coral and blush arrangements accented with ivory and lush greens.
As guests later clinked glasses and chatted as they enjoyed cocktail hour, the reception tent was being set for the celebration to come. With more florals and gold accents adorning the tables, Ginger and José also included vignettes of white and blue Chinese porcelain as a knod to the bride and her family. After the introduction of the couple for the first time as a married couple and a sweet first dance, guests were seated for dinner. Then, after some wonderful toasts, it was time for dancing and “La Hora Loco” when the party really got started! Not to be missed were the fun party props and a visit from a Chinese lion dancer!
