Sara and Jason met at a birthday party while Sara attended NYU. A sorority sister was dating a friend of Jason’s and brought him along to the party. They hit it off immediately, talking all night. Almost 9 years later the two were finally getting married.
The bride and groom were so happy to bring their friends and family together for a beautiful day in New England with good food and drink and a big celebration! Glen Manor was an easy choice for the couple. Sara is from Rhode Island and the house was already one of her favorite places to be. In fact Sara recalls growing up and being on her dads boat on the river admiring Glen Manor from the water. It was easy for Jason to also fall in love with the beautiful Chateau on the shores of the Sakonnet River.
We started the day with the bride and groom as they got ready for their first look. Sara was looking lovely in her creamy white gown dusted with just a bit of sparkle. Jason was looking dapper in a dark blue suit with a jewel colored boutonnière to match his brides bouquet. After a very sweet first look with her dad, Sara made her way outside to her awaiting groom. Not to be left out, Mildred, the couples Frenchie, was brought out to take part in family photos.
The lawn was set for the ceremony with rows of white chairs and an arbor dripping with more lovely flowers. As the ceremony began, the overcast sky began to give way to a bit of drizzle but a request to Sara’s grandmother on high cleared the showers for long enough for the ceremony to take place rain free. Guests were treated to incredibly sweet personal vows and some lovely first kisses. The two then made their way back down the aisle as white streamers fluttered in the hands of their guests.
Next was on to cocktail hour where Mildred once again made an appearance as the ambassador of signature cocktails with her Mildred’s Margarita. Friends and family sipped and nibbled on the delicious spread before heading into the dinner and the rest of the days celebration. Tables were lit with glittering candles and how can you not love the couples incredible sapphire blue cake!? Sara and Jason made their grand entrance into the ballroom for their first dance as husband and wife. With the champagne tower poured and ready for toasting, guests clinked glasses to the bride and groom and it was time to party!
Sara and Jason, thank you so much for having us at your beautiful wedding. Wishing you both all the best and please give Mildred a belly rub for us. 🙂
