Julie and Clay met back in 2012 through mutual friends in Boston. After many hangs with he same friend group on both East and West coasts, there was no denying there was a connection. As Julie said in her own words, “…being the patient fisherman that he is, instead of aggressively pursuing a relationship, Clay just sat back, threw out a line, and then he waited for his best catch.” And after a few years of crossing paths in Boston, on Memorial Day weekend of 2017 the two ran into each other yet again and the five year friendship crossed over into a loving relationship that brought us to this day!
We started our day with Julie and Clay as they got ready for their first look. The bride and groom chose Dragonline Studios for its incredible Rhode Island seaside location. As our groom and his men poured the whiskey and toasted to the day, Julie donned her gown and finished her elegant look with details of pearl earrings and Caribbean blue shoes with some sparkle. First Look right by the water with Julie’s veil blowing in the breeze was lovely. Right after, family and friends were welcomed in for some sweet photos.
Next was the ceremony. For our groom, seeing his bride coming down the aisle to him was one of his most memorable moments. Julie and Clay wrote their own vows and it was a joy to see the emotional readings they gave to one another. After the kiss, guests erupted in to loud cheers and applause and the new Mr and Mrs strode back down the aisle. Indeed family and friends gathering together for this wedding meant a lot to Julie and Clay and some of the sweetest footage that was captured was the couple taking photos and spending time with their loved ones.
The reception started off with a bang as Julie and Clay killed it on the dance floor with their first dance! The toasts and dancing that followed continued the celebration which culminated with a packed dance floor and a gorgeous sparkler send off!
Julie and Clay, thank you so much for allowing us to create your wedding films! We are so happy you can now share them with your friends in the UK who originally found Dragonline for you as a venue so long ago!
