Julia and Michael met through mutual friends in Boston, MA. Six years after their first movie theater date, the two gathered family and friends in Rye, New Hampshire along the water for their wedding ceremony and celebration.
For the ceremony, chairs were set along the waterfront and surrounded with ivory and dusty rose colored florals, accented with lush greens. The ladies wore shimmering gowns in the same pale pink and the gents were adorned in full formal black tux. The bride was dressed with an elegant strapless gown with billowing skirt and flowing veil accented with sheer full length gloves and dainty pearls. The groom wore a white tux with black lapel and the two were a striking pair as they recited personal vows before the backdrop of a sailboat filled Little Harbor at the mouth of the Piscataqua River.
Next, guests made their way to a lively cocktail hour on the green lawn and patio of the Club. After enjoying cocktails, conversation, finger foods and a wonderful raw bar, guests transitioned into the reception tent. After a romantic first dance and loving toasts, there was a surprise in store for all. Julia, who had disappeared for a moment to change into her party dress, emerged with not only a change of dress but also a drastic change of hairstyle! Her flowing locks from the ceremony were no more and a chic bob was in its place, ready for the celebration! As the groom noted, his new wife’s hair now looked like it did when the two first met. Soon the dance floor was open and guests crowded in to party with the new Mr and Mrs.
