Tim and Lauren met online during the peak of the pandemic in the Fall of 2020. After some “refreshingly easy” conversation online, they decided to get together for a date in Portsmouth at a local brewery. They met for a drink and made reservations for dinner as well, as Tim said, “just in case the night went well.” Indeed it did and the two soon had their second date. A walk in the woods turned into a walk on the beach and a bottle of wine on the sand while they enjoyed a cotton candy sunset that turned to a sky of twinkling stars. Ahhhh, how could you not fall in love? 🙂
The couple chose the Barn on the Pemi for its lovely greenhouse and barn which matched their love of the outdoors. They were excited to bring together family and friends for a fun party! We started with Lauren and Tim as they got ready for their first look. Lauren slipped into her simply gorgeous gown with plunging neckline, open back, geometric lace pattern and detachable puff sleeves. Tim was looking dapper as he waited for his bride outside, the lightest trace of snow was on the ground and Lauren approached her groom. After a wonderful moment together they went on to take photos, not forgetting to bring in their pup, Bessie, for family portraits too!
Next was onto the ceremony in the greenhouse. Upon entering guests walked under a canopy of draping vines to their seats. The wedding arbor was made of birch and decorated with florals to match the brides and bridesmaid bouquets as well as the groomsmen boutonnières. Soft green eucalyptus, feathered grass, sunny yellow and warn red flowers with dabs of pink created a wonderful space for the couple to say their vows. After a sweet kiss, Lauren and Tim (and Bessie with her own flower wreath!) made their way back down the aisle.
After a cozy cocktail hour, it was time to celebrate! The new Mr and Mrs entered the barn to cheers and took to the floor for their first dance. The evening followed with wonderful toasts, lots of laughter and even more dancing!
Tim and Lauren, thank you so much for making us part of your absolutely gorgeous wedding! We were so happy to be with you and wish you all the best!
Thank you to photographer Micayla-Jean for sharing your beautiful portrait with us!
