Samantha and Joe ~ An Elegant New England Wedding Day in Newport Rhode Island at the Wyndham Resort.

Samantha and Joe met while working at Reebok Corporate Headquarters. While they both worked in different departments and not directly together, they met because they both took the same Cross Fit class in the morning. They initially became friends and communicated via text within a friend group. Eventually, the two began to text outside of the group more frequently and Joe finally asked Samantha out on a date. With the slow progression from friends to romance, the two often joked about, “skipping the ‘awkward dating phase’ because we were already friends and had seen each other at our worsts (6am workouts – no one looks good)”. While they note that their relationship was a classic case of “opposites attract”, with their shared love of fitness, family and travel its no wonder their relationship led to this lovely wedding day in Rhode Island!

We started our day with Samantha and Joe as they got ready for their first look. The weather couldn’t have been better with the sun shining and a gentle breeze blowing when the bride and groom met on the lawn of the resort overlooking the water. Soon this elegant couple gathered with family and friends for the outdoor ceremony which included thoughtful and loving personal vows. As the sun slowly went down it made for a perfectly magical golden hour kiss after the breaking of the glass.

After a lively cocktail hour, guests made their way into the glittering reception hall decorated with ivory florals and linens. From introduction to first dance to the toasts the celebration was full of joy but when the music started up there was no stopping the happy feet on the dance floor. With the joining of these Jewish and Italian families, the floor was packed as the music of the Horah and Tarantella sang out.
