Emily and Tyler met in high school at their first jobs. And while not quite high school sweethearts and dating at the time, the knew even back then that there was something special there. They phased in and out over the years, reconnecting now and then. October 3, 2019 was one of those times. After not being in touch for a long while it seemed the moment was finally right and the two got together for a wonderful dinner at Tylers place, where the two now live together. Emily brought bolognese from a favorite restaurant and Tyler remembers seeing her walk up the stairs and knowing that she was coming back into his life for good.
Our bride and groom chose the Willowdale Estate for the beauty of its grounds and mansion and the romantic feeling it gave them both. They were especially excited about the conservatory where the ceremony and reception would be held. With its incredible windows framing the trees outside it was like bringing a little bit of nature indoors.
We started our day just before first look. After one last toast with his gents, Tyler waited on the back terrace of the estate for his bride to be. Emily approached in a gorgeous trumpet cut gown with a flowing train holding a winter white bouquet. Both Emily and Tyler said this was a moment they were both looking forward to where they could enjoy an intimate moment alone before the ceremony.
After a fun photo session with the wedding party (where groomsmen and bridesmaids dresses matched the brides beautiful blue hair!) it was onto the ceremony. The room was aglow with soft winter light through the skylight and windows of the conservatory. Emily and Tyler recited personal vows recounting their wonderful love story and looking ahead to the future together. After a very sweet kiss, the two walked back down the aisle as husband and wife.
The personalizations that Emily and Tyler added to their decor were lovely. Guests were presented with a beautiful display of photos from family members weddings from the past. For escort cards, they opted for flying keys a la Harry Potter hanging in a lovely display in front of one of the windows. Guests nibbled finger foods and sipped cocktails then trickled into the reception for the bride and grooms big entrance.
Emily and Tyler entered to cheers and applause of family and friends and then took to the dance floor for their first dance. All were treated to very sweet toasts that made clear these two were meant to be. Champagne glasses were clinked and the dance floor was open.
Emily and Tyler, thank you so much for making us part of your day!
