Katie and Kevin were introduced by a mutual friend six years ago in the form of a blind date! Not only was it a great match but as the two got to know each other, they were continuously surprised by similarities between their families including multiple relatives on both sides with the same names, same birthdays and realizing that more than one of their older family members had crossed paths at jobs and school in the past! The bride and groom were excited for a very fun gathering and party with family and friends in a place that they both love. Katie grew up spending time on Cape Cod wi
th multiple generations of her family, all sharing their fierce love for the Cape. Kevin also spent happy times in Cape Cod while visiting from RI in his college days, surfboard in hand!
We started our day at the historic Pilgrim Congregational Church just before the ceremony as guests arrived and settled into the well worn pews. Kevin was ready and waiting as his bride Katie entered and was escorted down the aisle to her groom. The sweet ceremony included readings from friends, lovely vows and a joyful first kiss! The exit from the church was picture perfect as the two walked outside into the dappled sunlight to the cheers of their guests and stopped to mingle, hug and chat before they all continued to the celebration at Katies family home.
The couple was so happy to celebrate at the family home, the location of so many happy memories already. Being able to revisit the spot they were married again and again in the future meant a lot to them. Indeed a table full of family photos included many loved ones who had passed that had once enjoyed this special place and still were a big part of it. For the decor, it was hard to ignore the attention to detail with the warm wooden tables, ivory linens, elegant greens a
nd delicate florals… but thats what you get when the bride is an interior designer! As the bride entered the wonderful space under the sailcloth tent, they took the dance floor for their first turn as husband and wife. With glowing string lights and the twelve piece band filling the tent with music the party then continued until well after the sun sent down.
Katie and Kevin, what a day! It was wonderful to create these films for you. Wishing you much happiness and many more wonderful memories together!
