Smita and Christina met in 2018 while working together at a cancer research and treatment center in New York City. While their relationship started in the “Big Apple”, it was back to Maine for their wedding day. The Cliff House was already special to Smita as she had spent summers at her family home just a mile away. Smita introduced Christina to the venue shortly after they were engaged and they both fell in love with its beauty, style and stunning oceanside location!
We started our day with Christina as she got ready for her first look with Smita. Christina was just putting on her finishing touches and had a wonderful reveal with her maids. It was lovely to see them all in their navy blue monogrammed pajamas as they smiled and cheered for her! Next was a very sweet first look with her dad and then on to see her bride. The two were a stunning pair with Christina in white and Smita in her wedding sari. They were both adorned with the traditional amber henna tattoos as well. Their first look was a wonderful moment as the two opened their eyes and joyfully took it all in.
The weather was perfect for the outdoor ceremony. Guests were treated to the bright New England sunshine and a soft breeze as they settled into their seats and waited for the ceremony to begin. As the string quartet played, the brides were led down the aisle to the lush flower draped arbor. Surrounded by family and friends, Christina and Smita recited personal vows and with a kiss, officially became a married couple.
Guests next gathered inside for the celebration where they were greeted by a wall of champagne glasses, just ready for clinking to the newlyweds. The reception hall was decorated with lovely navy and pink accents from the cake decorations to the dinner menus on the tables as well as more gorgeous florals. Christina and Smita entered the room to loud applause and cheers and took the floor for their first dance. After dances with their dads and some wonderful and loving toasts, the dance floor was open to everyone and was immediately packed as the band played and the party continued into the night.
Christina and Smita, thank you for making us part of your beautiful wedding day! Wishing you all the best!
