Meaghan and Demetrios were high school sweethearts, meeting in freshman year Biology class. Fifteen years later, the two were excited to get married in the church where Demetrios was once an alter boy!
We started our day with the bride as she got ready for the ceremony. Champagne was popped and all the ladies were looking lovely as Meaghan put on her final touches. The father of the bride got the first look with his daughter and after a few moments together with the wedding party, the bride was off to the church to see her groom.
The traditional Greek ceremony was a joy to watch. One special moment was the brides sister reading from their grandmothers bible. With the bride and groom in their crowns, holding candles and circling the alter as the priest chanted the two became husband and wife. Meaghan and Demetrios then came down the aisle and exited the church triumphantly as the guests cheered them on.
The celebrating continued at Meaghans family home with the tent sprawled out on the lawn and guests enjoying cocktail hour. As they entered the tent for the reception, family and friends were greeting by the escort card table and wonderful photos of family members who were there in spirit. The tent itself was filled with lush ivory and dusty rose florals and greenery on every table. Glasses clinked and string lights glittered above as the couple was introduced for the first time as husband and wife! After the first dance the floor was opened and Greek music filled the space as the dance floor was packed with guests and the bride and groom were showered with dollar bills and wishes of good fortune.
Meaghan and Demetrios, thank you for making us part of your epic wedding day! Wishing all the best and sincerely hope your family in Greece and across the globe enjoy wishing these films and seeing your full day!
