Phoebe and Mark met through a mutual friend in 2012. While Mark remembers the pretty blonde and some sparks, Phoebe remembered a few goofy jokes and meeting Mark a few years later at the friends wedding and keeping in touch after. While living on opposite coasts and then circling closer while in Boston and New York, the two saw each other now and then and at long last in 2020 with a nudge from Covid, they moved into an apartment in MA and knew they wanted to stay together and build a life as husband and wife.
For their ceremony and celebration, the couple chose Whitney’s Inn for its rustic and laid back vibe. This wonderful Inn was built in the 1940s and rests on 12 acres of beautiful White Mountain land. The outdoor ceremony took place among the tall trees with the bride and groom surrounded by family and friends. The ceremony was one of the couples favorite parts of the day with their personal vows and the perfect balance of heartfelt words and humor.
Next it was on to the cocktail hour at the front of the Inn. Guests sip cocktails and nibbled delicious hors d’oeuvres before making their way into the barn and the Shovel Handle Pub for the reception. After wonderful toasts and a cozy dinner the dance floor was open! Guests crowded the floor as the music played and the barn shook with the celebration late into the night.
