Maddy and Evan were married at the Cohasset Second Congregational Church and celebrated at the Scituate Harbor Yacht Club.
Back in 2011 our bride and groom met at a D.C. based startup and stayed in touch while temporarily moving apart to San Fransisco and Boston. When finally able to reunite after moving back to D.C., the two enjoyed having time to get to know each other better and the relationship blossomed.
Our bride and groom were excited for a romantic and relaxed wedding day celebrating with family and friends. They chose the church for its timeless New England architecture and the yacht club as it was where Maddy spent many summers as a kid. Maddy was so grateful to be able to bring everyone together to enjoy this special place.
The church was indeed quintessential New England positioned on a central green with a high steeple and white washed walls. The vows, written by the bride and groom were touching to hear and the sweetness and love between the couple was lovely to witness. Though the guest list might have been a bit smaller than originally planned, the inside of the church was filled with close family and friends, late September sunshine and cheers of joy upon the first kiss.
After the trolley ride to the yacht club, Maddy and Evan enjoyed a short boat ride around the harbor. Not to be forgotten and possibly the most excited to be on the boat was their pup Winnie the Dalmatian! To their delight, many friends who could not attend had arranged to kayak by them with signs and cheers so not to miss out on a chance to congratulate the couple!
The celebration continued with wonderful toasts from family and friends, a very fun cake cutting and joyful dancing into the night!
Maddy and Evan, thank you so much for making us part of your day! We hope you will enjoy sharing this video with family and friends!
