After returning to Massachusetts for graduate school, Maddi met Mark through a roommate she found on Facebook, who happened to be in Mark’s friend group. Mark had just moved from Texas in the fall of 2018. Maddi and Mark often marvel at how fate brought them together from opposite sides of the country. Maddi never believed in soulmates—until she met Mark. They started as friends in January 2019, but by March, they were inseparable. Maddi admits she had a crush on Mark the moment they met at Coppersmith in South Boston, where Mark let her try on his Texas A&M class ring. After asking her roommate if Mark was single, Maddi learned that he was. Their first date in March was followed by Mark telling Maddi, “I know we’re not dating yet, but soon you’ll be my girlfriend.” Two weeks later, at Bell and Hand Tavern, he told her he loved her.
The couple chose St. Ann’s Church for the ceremony and the Beauport for the reception. As a Texas boy, Mark was excited to give his family a true New England experience, so they chose an elegant venue on the water. The bride and groom were most excited for the moment when Maddi would walk down the aisle to Mark. The two were also looking forward to a very fun party and put a lot of care into selecting the cocktails, music, and décor for the celebration.
Maddi and Mark, thank you for making us a part of your lovely wedding day. Capturing your wedding and the images of you two together was a joy. Thanks for sharing your love story with us!
