Jacqui and Christian ~ An Elegant Waterfront Wedding at Gurney’s in Newport, RI

Jacqui and Christian met in high school. While not quite high school sweethearts, the two were friends for many years, finally getting together in college. Of course if you ask their friends and family, they always knew it was just a matter of time before Jacqui and Christian became a couple!

This fun loving bride and groom were excited for a day full of joy, dancing and hugs with family and friends. Having grown up on the NH seacoast, they knew they wanted a waterfront wedding. When introduced to Gurney’s, the two instantly fell in love with the venue.

We started the day with Jacqui and Christian as they got ready for their first look. The brides maids were cozy in their robes and signature slippers and the grooms men looked dapper as they fastened their cufflinks. Our bride slipped into her gown and adorned herself with glittering finishing touches from head to toe. Christian was looking handsome in his dark suit as he waited in the bright Rhode Island sunshine to see his bride for the first time. After a wonderful moment together, these two best friends were ready to become husband and wife.

The ceremony took place on the breezy, green lawn with the view of the water and the Jamestown Bridge in the distance. By the quaint lighthouse and under the dappled shade of the trees, Jacqui and Christian were finally married!

Next was onto the celebration. Guests gathers by the waters edge for cocktail hour as the sun slowly went down and the sky glowed warmly with the perfect Newport sunset. Inside the reception hall, the tables were dressed with crisp whites and nautical blue accents. Lush greens and flowers of deep reds and ivory spilled out from the centerpieces. The bride and groom entered and the hall was filled with applause and cheers as they made their way to the dance floor for their first dance. After wonderful toasts from loved ones, the dance floor was open and filled with guests and their sweet dance moves! After an incredible party, we said goodbye to our couple as they kissed under a canopy of sparklers held by family and friends.
