Sara and Gus met many years ago at summer camp. They were friends for years before they started dating. Gus was already friends with Sara’s brothers and cousins from camp as well so he fit in seamlessly with Saras family. In fact many of Sara and Gus’ guests were friends they had known their whole lives since their childhood camping days!
We first met Sara and Gus back in June of 2019! Like many couples, 2020 threw their wedding plans for a loop! Although they still had a beautiful intimate gathering with family on their original day, the big celebration with a full guest list had to wait until 2021 when everyone could gather safely. So when they day finally came, our bride and groom were VERY excited about finally being able to celebrate their union surrounded by all of the people they love.
We started the day with Sara and the ladies as they popped champagne and enjoyed some girl time getting pretty. After an incredibly sweet first look with her dad, Sara was off to meet Gus for their first look of the day. You would never know from this moment that the two of them had already had a small wedding before that day!
After a very fun photo session it was onto the ceremony. Under the grand old shady trees of the farm, surrounded by family and friends, Sara and Gus once again made their vows and walked back down the aisle as husband and wife.
Then finally, it was onto the reception with lovely toasts as well as a song from the best man! A favorite moment for Sara and Gus was when everyone joined them on the dance floor. Our bride and groom were very excited about their band and the full on Disco experience they brought to the party including their outfits! Not to be outdone, Sara and Gus also had a quick costume change. Sara changing into a white, full sequin bell bottomed pantsuit and Gus into an equally fabulous sequin tuxedo jacket. With disco balls shining and our bride and groom glittering among the crowd the party went well into the night. We were sorry when we had to leave! 😉
Sara and Gus, thank you so much for having us at your very fun wedding! We were so glad we could move with you from 2020 to 2021 and were so happy for you in that clearly, this day was worth the wait!
Thanks to Courtney Elizabeth Media for the beautiful cover photo!
