Heather and Steve were married at the stunning Crane Estate in Ipswich, MA. The location was probably the easiest part of planning their wonderful wedding day as it was the location of their first date! And what could be more romantic than returning and getting married at this Stuart-style mansion surrounded by French and Italian style gardens? The Crane Estate is just an absolute gem.
We started our day with the ladies in the bridal suite putting their final touches together. Heather slipped into her lovely sweetheart bodice dress with a classic court length train. Once the buttons we together, it was time for the first look with Steve!
First look was in the stunning sunken Italian Garden. The heat of this summer day was left outside the shade of the cloister where Heather and Steve saw each other for the first time. This moment might be one or our favorites of the day as Heather and Steve read some personal vows to each other, just the two of them, previous to the Ceremony on the lawn in front of guests.
The ceremony took place along the Grand Allée which spans the property and opens up to a spectacular vista of the ocean. As the sun went down Heather and Steve were wed in front of their families and friends. The ceremony itself was one of their favorite moments from the day and the joy on their faces as the walked back down the aisle after becoming husband and wife was indeed a wonderful moment to capture.
After the exchange of vows and rings it was time for cocktail hour. LoveLocked Films had so much fun capturing the wedding party as the took group photos in the long shadows along the vast lawn. Did we mention this was the weekend of a heatwave?! The reception continued under the sailcloth tent with a heartfelt toasts and dances and night finished of with a “heat-be-damned” dance party in the main house.
Heather and Steve, thank you again for allowing us to be part of your incredibly fun wedding! We hope you enjoy sharing this highlights with the family and friends who mean so much to you.
Thank you also to Shawn Callan for the beautiful cover photo!
