Emily and Michael were married on a summer day at her family home with a perfect reception at The Hitching Post in Dayton, Maine
Emily and Michael wanted a relaxed, easy going wedding that felt connected to their past and their love for nature. They chose the house where Emily grew up in Biddeford for the location to exchange lifelong vows. The property itself is full of lush greenery and is a short stroll to the rocky Maine beaches making this an idyllic location.
Personal, sweet and filled with laughter, the wedding ceremony took place with their nearest and dearest gathered alongside. Immediately following their ‘I do’s, guests were shuttled off to the nearby Hitching Post to continue the celebrations. Situated on one hundred acres along the Saco River, The Hitching Post is a historic repurposed New England barn built in 1830. It offers the perfect rustic and timeless charm the couple was looking for. The newlyweds and loved ones enjoyed cocktail hour on the lawn with a fun wood-fired antique truck serving up goodies before moving inside the barn for the reception. Lighthearted toasts & dances made way for celebrating together into the evening. Thank you for including LoveLocked Films in this lovely day, we were honored to capture it.
